About Us
The Harnish Foundation was established in Seattle, Washington in 2005 by members of the Harnish family. In addition to the foundation, the Harnish family has operated a family business dating back to 1929 when the company was first established in Sidney, Montana. Since then, the geographical territory of the company has expanded to include areas of Alaska and Washington. The Harnish family strongly believes in giving back to the communities that have enabled our business to grow over the years.
It is the goal of the Harnish Foundation to champion non-profit organizations that encourage individuals to take responsibility and initiative for their own well-being. It’s best summarized by the well-known Chinese proverb – “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
